Testimonials and Feedback about the Silk Bufferfly Project
Taking part in the Silk Butterfly Project was an amazing learning opportunity. I felt that it brought some realism into my daughter's bat mitzvah by thinking about how her bat mitzvah compared with that of a Jewish girl her age, who perished in a concentration camp without having any kind of bat mitzvah. By researching her twin, and lighting an extra candle for her on Shabbat, and talking about her in her Dvar Torah, my daughter was able to inject some depth and meaning into her celebration. The pack which Vicki gave her was beautiful with a necklace and a book and all the information she needed to start her research. An excellent project.
K mentioned Rachela and Ester in her dvar Torah at the kotel and she touched the kotel when she mentioned their names.
Shortly after that 2 yellow/orange butterflies flew towards us. They were identical and were flying next to each other.
They hovered over us for a while and then went. Everyone who was with us just stood in shock!
Thank you Vicki for giving kayla the opportunity to do this!
This is all because of you. The whole ceremony was beautiful. Even Rabbi Krengel said that those butterflies were probably the 2 girls.
