Project Packs

As mentioned earlier The Silk Butterfly Project is a non-profit organisation that was founded on the cornerstones of doing, giving and helping, - ie the Mitzvot of Chesed and Tzedakah. Via donations from sponsors and through the sale of special project packs, our aim is to raise sufficient funds to help families in financial straits to celebrate their child’s Bar or Batmitzvah.

High quality project packs are available at a cost from R450 per pack.
The showstopper in each project pack is a magnificent, unisex sterling silver necklace.
Comprised of a circle, this stunning piece allows for the name of both the B’not Mitzvah
participant and the name of their twin to be engraved on the circle, along with the date of the Bar / Batmitzvah. Included with the necklace as optional extras, are various attractive silver charms that can be attached to hang within the circle.

Project Packs also include;-
• A Yahrzeit candle to light in memory of the lost child with whom the participant is being twinned.
• A book, ‘I never saw another butterfly’ – a poignant and powerful collection of poetry and art by the children of the
   Theresienstadt Concentration Camp.
• A commemorative certificate which can be presented to the child by the rabbi or chairman of the shul congregation.

Additionally, the Project Pack makes a very meaningful Bar or Batmitzvah gift that can be purchased by an individual or a group of friends. In this instance, it might be appropriate to include the name of the B’not mitzvah along with the names of the friends that are gifting it.
